Tia Zipper Jacket 2507-10 | Printed Knitting Pattern

The Tia Zipper Jacket is a modern zip-front cardigan worked from the top down in half-patent rib, holding one strand of Sandnes Garn Sunday together with one strand of Tynn Silk Mohair throughout. The combination creates a soft, warm fabric with a light and fluffy finish.

The jacket begins at the neckband, which is worked back and forth in rib. Raglan increases are then worked to shape the upper body before the work is divided for the sleeves, back and fronts. Each section is completed separately in the rib pattern.

Stitches are picked up along the fronts for the bands, which are worked in double knitting to create a neat, structured finish for the zip. Finally, the zip is sewn into place.

You will also need: One separating zip, approximately 55–65 cm long, suitable for your chosen size and finished jacket length.

Suggested knitting needles: 32in 2mm for cast on, 3.5mm for body, 2.5mm for hem, front band and facing 16in 3.5mm for sleeves, 2.5mm for cuffs. 

The yarn quantities are based on the measurements given above. If you choose to make the body or sleeves longer, additional yarn may be required.
