Spencer Sweater 2403-07 | Printed Knitting Pattern

The Spencer Sweater is worked from the top down, holding one strand of Sandnes Garn Sunday together with one strand of Tynn Silk Mohair throughout.

The back is worked first, back and forth, with short rows to shape the sloping shoulders. Stitches are then picked up for each front, which are worked separately with short-row shaping at the shoulders and increases to form the neckline. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and short rows are worked to shape the sleeve caps.

The sections are then joined on a circular needle and worked back and forth, with increases for the neckline and sleeves. Once the neckline has been shaped, the work is joined in the round and raglan increases are continued. The body and sleeves are then divided and completed separately. Finally, the neckband is worked in ribbing, folded double and worked to the inside for a neat finish.

Suggested knitting needles: 32in 3mm and 3.5mm for body, 16in 3mm and 3.5mm for sleeves, 16in 2.5mm for neckband.
