Kilkanna | Hat Knitting Kit

Knit a beanie with a beautiful twist. Designed by Woolly Wormhead, Kilkanna pairs a soft garter-stitch brim with delicate diagonal texture for a stretchy, flattering hat, worked in the round from the brim upwards.

Designed for us by Woolly Wormhead, Kilkanna is an adult adaptation of Kilkenny, minus the earflaps and worked in an entirely different yarn and gauge.  This version is much more sleek and grown up. The multi-plied merino has the kind of drape that just loves a bias design. The pattern is provided in three sizes, in both written and charted format.

Your Kilkanna Beanie Hat knitting kit includes:
- the printed pattern
- one 16in 4mm circular needle
- two 50g balls of 100% Extra Fine Merino

Skills that will be practised: cast on, knitting in the round, knit stitch, purl stitch, decrease by knitting two stitches together and yarn over.
