Persian Tiles Crochet Blanket | Printed Pattern Booklet

The Persian Tiles Blanket is one of Janie Crow’s most recognisable crochet designs, inspired by the rich colours and intricate patterns of traditional Persian textiles and decorative tiles.

The blanket is made up of four different crochet motifs. At the heart of the design is the striking octagonal motif, of which you will make 16. These are surrounded and joined by variations on classic granny squares and triangular motifs, gradually building into the wonderfully detailed finished blanket.

Despite its intricate appearance, Persian Tiles is a relatively simple project to make. The repetition of the motifs makes for an enjoyable and satisfying crochet project, while the changing shapes and colours keep things interesting as the blanket grows.

Janie particularly enjoyed creating this design, playing with colour and traditional crochet shapes to produce a blanket that looks far more complicated than it really is.

• 3.5mm, 4mm and 4.5mm crochet hooks
