Imogen Crochet Blanket | Printed Pattern Booklet
Inspired by traditional Victorian Crochet designs, the Imogen Blanket echoes the design theme of Janie Crow's incredibly popular 2012 Crochet Club project.
The project is aimed at crocheters with a reasonable knowledge of crochet techniques and the pattern includes lots of images and tips to help you along the way.
The yarn originally used to make this project is no longer available; it was written using Rowan Cotton Glacé. This is/was a sport weight yarn, slightly thinner than a DK weight.
Using a DK weight yarn, therefore, will mean that the project comes up slightly larger than indicated on the original pattern, and the hook sizes will differ. You can find Janie Crow's free yarn substitution and quantities document here.
The Yarnsmiths version uses a cotton and acrylic (67% Cotton 33% Acrylic) mix yarn with a length of 145m to 50g. If using an alternative DK weight yarn to this it is essential that you check the length to make sure you have sufficient yarn for the project.
Difficulty: ★ ★ ★ (Intermediate)
Of course, there is nothing to stop you from using any cotton mix yarn you like.
You could try this is Adriafil Merino Cotone or Sandnes Garn Line.
THIS IS A PRINTED PATTERN THAT WILL BE POSTED TO YOU
