Anna's Summer Cardigan | Printed Knitting Pattern

Anna’s Summer Cardigan is worked from the top down with raglan increases on the yoke and a lovely, feminine lace pattern. The body is worked back and forth, while the sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. The button and buttonhole bands are knitted at the end from stitches picked up and knitted along the front edges of the cardigan.

The measurements for the finished garment are listed on the front page of the pattern (please note that these measurements are only achieved if the cardigan is knitted in the correct gauge). If you/the recipient measures 59 cm [23¼ inches] around the chest, you should knit a size 5-6 years. Size 5-6 years has a chest circumference of 66 cm [26 inches] which will, in this example, give 7 cm [2¾ inches] of positive ease. If the measured chest circumference deviates from the age guide, you can adjust the lengths to the person you’re knitting for. The same applies if the child is short/taller than average.
